It doesn’t matter when you were assaulted, where it happened or who did it – we’ll listen to your experience and help you to get the support you choose.

The Bridge is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). We offer medical care, emotional and psychological support, and practical help to anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted.

Our specialist team will be here for you  if you are:

  • an adult or child living in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset, North Somerset, or Bath and North East Somerset
  • and from 1st October 2018 if you are child living in those areas or Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or Swindon.

We also offer information and support to friends and family if someone you care about has been affected by rape or serious sexual assault.

How we’re funded

The Bridge is part of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

We are commissioned by NHS England and regional police and crime commissioners for Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Avon and Somerset.

Charitable donations also help support our service.
